Root canals & extractions
When a tooth is in trouble, there are two honest paths: rescue it, or remove it cleanly and plan what comes next. We'll tell you plainly which one your tooth needs.
Root canals, without the reputation
A root canal removes infected tissue from inside the tooth so the tooth itself can be saved — and with modern anesthetic and technique, the procedure feels far more like getting a filling than the stories suggest. Most patients are surprised by how uneventful it is. Saving your natural tooth is almost always worth it when the tooth is savable.
When extraction is the right call
Some teeth can't be saved, and pretending otherwise wastes your money and your comfort. When removal is the answer, it's done carefully, with your comfort managed throughout — and with a conversation about what fills the gap, whether that's an implant, a bridge, or nothing at all. Leaving a gap unplanned lets neighboring teeth drift, so the plan matters as much as the procedure.
